DNT IP Address for Contact Forms is a small system plugin for Joomla. When a visitor sends a message through com_contact, the plugin adds a short block at the bottom of the message with the IP address of the sender and the date and time. That helps when you receive spam or abuse through your contact form. There is nothing to set up: install it, enable it and it works.

Privacy

An IP address is personal data. If you use this plugin, mention in your privacy statement that you store the IP address of the sender with contact messages, and how long you keep those messages.

Installation Guide

In the Joomla administrator, go to System > Install > Extensions and upload the ZIP
Go to System > Plugins and enable "System - DNT IP Address for Contact Forms"
